Counselor Education

As a doctoral candidate in Counselor Education and Supervision at Oregon State University, with extensive practical experience and a passion for education, I offer my expertise as an adjunct faculty member for master's level counseling and marriage and family therapy programs. Though I am interested in many teaching opportunities, my primary areas of expertise for teaching include Human Sexuality in Counseling, Relational Counseling, and School Counseling.

I have had the opportunity to teach full courses at the following institutions:

  •  Introduction to Professional Counseling, Oregon State University, Corvallis, OR (Spring 2023)

  • Human Sexuality, Molloy University, Rockville Centre, NY (Summer 2024)

Teaching Philosophy

My approach to teaching counseling is rooted in creating an inclusive learning environment that celebrates diversity and actively incorporates social justice tenets and cultural humility. Central to my philosophy is the understanding that expertise and growth are demonstrated in unique and holistic, not prescriptive, ways. I teach with humor, empathy, and joy, believing that these elements not only enhance the learning experience but also model essential qualities for effective counseling and connection with others. My goal is to cultivate counselors who are not only skilled practitioners but also advocates for equity and inclusion in the field, approaching their work with both professionalism and genuine human connection.
